RUSSIAN "KOREAN" CARROT SALAD
famous all over the post-Soviet space
- Cut 450g carrots into spaghetti-like long pieces
- 4-5 garlic cloves (garlic press)
- Cut 1 medium onion into small pieces and fry it on vegetable oil until soft
- 4 table spoons vegetable oil (without smell, same as above)
- 2 table spoons grinded coriander seeds
- 5 table spoons white vinegar
- 1-2 tea spoons salt, to taste
- 1 tea spoon Cayenne pepper powder. This makes it mildly spicy, ... for normal people. For us though, I would double or triple that
- 2 table spoons sugar
- 1/3 tea spoon Ajinomoto (optional, enhances taste)
Mix everything well, pack tightly into a container, and keep in the fridge overnight
